About the initiative
SMART SKIES AND LIVABLE CITIES (SSLC) Initiative is a non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO) initiative based in Chennai. Its vision is to leverage advanced aviation technologies and emerging tools to make Indian cities more liveable, inclusive, and sustainable.
Aims to collaborate with government agencies, academia, industry, and civil society to generate evidence-based solutions, strengthen public policy, and create demonstrable pilot programs in urban environments.


Our Vision
To make cities more liveable, inclusive, and progressively sustainable by leveraging advanced aviation technology and futuristic tools. We help governments to create new policies and implement programs through data analysis, mapping, scientific assessments, and citizen engagement.

To apply aviation and drone-based technologies for solving urban challenges such as pollution, traffic congestion, disaster response, and urban enforcements and

To bridge the public–aviation gap through awareness, training, and community engagement and
To collaborate with academia and policy institutions to publish research and generate policy inputs for governments and
To build a scalable, replicable model for Indian and global cities.
